Alan Kernaghan thinks Gretna could win the final

"A goal at the wrong time, just before half time, changed the game as I thought it was even-Steven until then," he told BBC Sport.

"But it's been our Achilles heel all season that we're not asking questions of the opposition goalkeeper.

"I don't think we played anywhere near good enough to win a semi-final and gifted Gretna three goals."

Gretna's second goal came from a disputed penalty, but Kernaghan avoided any criticism of the referee and instead praised the victors' owner.

"I think people like Brooks Mileson should be applauded," said the Dundee boss.

"He's not just helped Gretna but also clubs like Dundee United and Berwick."

Kernaghan thought that the Second Division champions could upset the odds against whoever wins the all-Scottish Premier League semi-final between Hearts and Hibernian.

"I feel that they can win," he said.

"Over 90 minutes, you never know as Gretna showed that they are a good football team and can take chances when they come to them."
