Steven Craig has also played for Motherwell and Falkirk |
Dundee have completed the signing of former Aberdeen striker Steven Craig. Craig was released by Aberdeen in the summer after failing to make an impact under Jimmy Calderwood.
He had been on trial with Bradford City, Dunfermline and Carlisle United in an attempt to win a deal but failed to do so with those clubs.
But he has now joined up at Dens Park as new manager Alan Kernaghan seeks to improve the fortunes of the side currently third in the First Division.
Kernaghan told his club website: "Both in terms of numbers and quality, this is good news.
"With so many injuries right now, just getting another body in represents a boost and for it to be someone I know and rate is pleasing.
"Steven is a player who has done well at Premier League level.
"His arrival will also add another centre-forward to the squad and that is an area where we were light."
Kernaghan said on Thursday that Craig would play some part in Saturday's meeting with St Johnstone.
