![]() | Wednesday, 10 October, 2001, 13:56 GMT 14:56 UK Dundee land Chinese star ![]() Chinese centre half Fan Zhiyi in action for Palace Dundee have completed the signing of Crystal Palace defender Fan Zhiyi in a deal believed to be in the region of �300,000. The 31-year-old Chinese international helped his country qualify for next year's World Cup finals in Japan and Korea and Dens Park co-ordinator Dario Magri has spent the last week in China for talks with the player and his representatives. A spokesman for the club confirmed: "Dundee Football Club is delighted to confirm that Chinese international defender Fan Zhiyi has signed for the club. "The player who has previously been with Crystal Palace put pen to paper at the end of negotiations that have taken place over the weekend in China. "The club are now seeking relevant paperwork that will provide the player with clearance to play. "As with any deal the terms of the contract remain a private matter between the two parties concerned."
