Doncaster striker Billy Sharp will be out for at least six weeks with a torn hamstring picked up against former club Sheffield United on Saturday.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury minutes after scoring the second goal in the 2-0 win.
Sharp is Rovers' record signing, having joined from the Blades for £1.15m in July after a loan spell last season.
He scored 15 goals in 35 games for Doncaster last season and has netted six in 13 this term so far.
