Doncaster Rovers manager Dave Penney has secured the signing of Tranmere left-back Gareth Roberts. Roberts, 28, will join the Belle Vue outfit when his contract ends at Prenton Park on 1 July.
The defender joined Liverpool as a trainee in 1994 and moved on to Greek side Panionios where he played in the Uefa Cup.
The Welsh international spent three years at Prenton Park and scored 14 goals in over 300 appearances.
