McIndoe began his career at Luton |
Doncaster Rovers midfielder Michael McIndoe has joined Derby on loan for the rest of the season after having a transfer request accepted at Belle Vue. The 26-year-old submitted a written request and he could make his Derby debut against Burnley on Saturday.
"Michael feels after three years at Rovers he can no longer give his best and needs a new challenge," said a statement on the Doncaster website.
McIndoe arrived at Belle Vue from Yeovil Town for 50,000 in 2003.
The statement added: "Obviously Michael wants to play at a higher level and feels this is an opportunity for him to put himself in the shop window.
"The club is disappointed with these events and had hoped that Michael would play at a higher level with us."
