Doncaster have signed promising young striker Chris Beardsley on a one-year deal after a successful trial spell. The 20-year-old impressed Rovers boss Dave Penney during the three weeks after he was released by Mansfield.
Beardsley, who made only three starts in two years with the Stags, scored in the friendly against Bradford and also netted in Saturday's win over York.
He becomes Doncaster's fourth summer signing as they continue preparations for their League One campaign.
