Derby County midfielder Stephen Pearson and defender Jay McEveley have made another step forward in their comebacks from injury.
The Scotland internationals both returned to training on Monday.
Pearson has been out since September with a knee problem and McEveley suffered a dislocated shoulder during his loan spell at Charlton.
Manager Nigel Clough is expected to play the pair in a behind-closed-doors match at Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Clough told the club website: "They were back on the training pitch and it was nice to see them back involved."
