Derby County boss Paul Jewell admitted his side were way out of their depth after the 6-1 mauling at Chelsea."It was like a world champion heavyweight boxer fighting an amateur lightweight," he told BBC Radio Derby.
"That is the difference in class. It really is as big as that. It was men against boys and at times it was like swatting flies.
"They have world class players and were on form. We've become the whipping boys and it's tough to take."
Jewell refused to blame an injury to veteran centre-half Alan Stubbs for his side's capitulation.

But he said seeing Stubbs limp out of the action with a calf strain after 16 minutes was the last thing they needed.
"It would be easy to say that made all the difference - obviously it didn't," he told BBC Radio Derby. "But it did make a hell of a difference."
"Alan has been a rock for us at the back and not long after he comes off we concede a daft penalty.
"What you want to try and do when you come to Chelsea is try to frustrate them, get the crowd on their back and get them agitated.
"For 25 minutes we did OK but once we gave them a penalty, then another daft goal, it's tough.
"They cut us open and teams of Chelsea's quality can do that."
