Derby County boss Paul Jewell praised recent signings Alan Stubbs and Roy Carroll after their displays in the home defeat against Tottenham. The Rams were beaten 3-0 at Pride Park but matched Spurs for an hour and it took two late goals to finally kill off the home side.
"Alan was terrific again and so was Roy," Jewell told BBC Radio Derby.
"They gave us a bit more confidence and know-how at the back and that was noticeable throughout the team."
