Derby midfielder Giles Barnes has been ruled out of the play-offs after sustaining a knee injury. The 18-year-old was helped from the pitch during Sunday's 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace.
"Giles has damaged the tissue that holds the kneecap in place," boss Billy Davies told the club's website.
"There is no ligament damage and no operation is needed so it will be a case of treatment and rehabilitation work. He should be fit for pre-season."
