El Hamdaoui has twice been injured while on loan at Derby |
Tottenham striker Mounir El Hamdaoui has returned to Derby on loan after recovering from a hernia problem that has troubled him since February. The 21-year-old cut short his spell at Pride Park earlier this term with the problem, the second time he has ended a loan deal with them because of injury.
A statement on Spurs' website said: "Mounir is back at Derby to complete his loan until the end of the season."
The Moroccan has scored three times in eight games for the Rams this term.
A shoulder injury ended his initial spell with Terry Westley's side before Christmas.
However, he is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's home clash with Millwall.
"I've spoken to the boy and he wants to play," Westley told the Derby website.
"He has played here twice and picked up two major injuries, but he will train with us on Thursday when we will take a look at his fitness and condition."
