Wright has played just nine times this season |
Derby County have made their second loan signing in two days, taking Sheffield United left-back Alan Wright on a one-month deal. A cruciate knee injury has restricted Wright to just nine appearances for the Blades this season, and the 34-year-old hasn't played since November.
Wright is expected to go straight into the Rams squad to play Plymouth at Pride Park on Saturday.
His arrival follows hot on the heels of Charlton striker Kevin Lisbie.
Despite striker Lisbie's arrival, Terry Westley, who on Tuesday was confirmed as Rams' manager until the end of the season, is also considering a move for Sunderland frontman Andy Gray.
With on-loan Tottenham striker Mounir El Hamdaoui sidelined by a groin injury and Danny Graham having returned to Middlesbrough following a three-month loan, Westley is lacking options.
Gray has scored just once for the Black Cats since a 1.1m move from Sheffield United and could be available.
"We've got to get players who are proven at this level and we think Gray could come into our team and have an instant impact," Westley said.
"We're short up front and we'll try to make something happen over the next few days."
