Johnson returned to Derby in 2005 after an injury-hit spell at Leeds |
Derby midfielder Seth Johnson has signed a one-year contract extension, tying him to the club until 2007. Johnson, 26, returned to Derby last year after an injury-hit spell at Leeds United, who signed him from the Rams for 7m in 2001.
Johnson said the backing of fans at Pride Park had influenced his decision.
"They have been a big help. I am very pleased, it was always in my mind that I would like to stay here for longer than the original year," he said.
"Hopefully we will get to a stage next year where everybody concerned is happy and we can look to sign for another year."
