Derby sign Polish striker
Derby manager George Burley
Burley made a double swoop for Derby
Derby boss George Burley has signed Polish international striker Grzegorz Rasiak on a one-year contract.

Burley was quick to pounce for the 25-year-old, who had signed a three-year-deal with Italian club Siena but had not yet been registered.

Burley said: "We've been lacking a big man up front and he has real pedigree. He's an international and was playing European football with his last club.

"To sign a player of that calibre on a free is a coup for us."

The 25-year-old had previously represented Polish clubs Warta Poznan, GKS Belchatow and Groclin.

Rasiak's arrival completes a double swoop for Burley, who has also signed Jason Talbot on a one-month loan from Bolton.
