Darlington boss Dave Penney has further strengthened his squad with the signings of Tom Ryan and Kevin Burgess. Ryan, 32, has joined the Quakers on an 18-month contract from Boston United for an undisclosed fee after previously playing under Penney at Doncaster.
Burgess, 18, has agreed a six-month deal after leaving Middlesbrough and impressing in the Quakers' reserves.
Their arrivals follow the loan signings of Sheffield United's Evan Horwood and Middlesbrough defender David Wheater.
