Darlington's pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough was abandoned because of a security alert. Fans were evacuated from the stadium and the match - a testimonial for former Boro and Quakers star Craig Liddle - was called off at half time.
A Darlington spokesman said: "After discussion with the police a decision was made to abandon the match.
"We are sad Craig's big day ended this way and would like to thank everyone for their attendance and support."
