Dagenham's on-loan forward John Akinde looks set to miss the rest of the season because he is likely to require a hernia operation.
Akinde, 21, has not made a single appearance for the Daggers since joining from Bristol City.
Bristol City manager Keith Millen told the club website: "It's unfortunate for John. He's got a hernia problem and it seems he'll require surgery.
"It's disappointing for everyone, as John needs to be playing games."
