Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has completed the signing of Stevenage striker Jon Nurse, who has signed a two-year contract. Nurse, 26, was signed by Stevenage from Sutton United in the summer of 2004.
"I enquired about Jon in January as a replacement for Craig Mackail-Smith when it looked as if he'd be joining Peterborough," Still told BBC Essex.
"Things couldn't be sorted out at that time but I'm pleased to be able to bring him to the club now."
Nurse becomes Dagenham's first signing since they won promotion as Conference champions.
Borough chairman Phil Wallace had previously said: "Dagenham have always liked him and Jon now has the chance to play in the Football League next season."
