Still calm in Daggers title chase
John Still
Still had to sell two of his best players to Peterborough in January
Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still is "not losing any sleep" over their push for promotion to the Football League.

The Daggers are seven points clear at the top of the Conference, and now face three games in eight days against Burton, Kidderminster and York.

"We are a massive way further forward than I thought we would be when I first came back here nearly three years ago," Still told BBC Essex.

"But there are still some twists and turns to come this season."

He added: "The club has been in a big financial mess but we've got that sorted.

"People said to me when we sold Craig Mackail-Smith and Shane Blackett to Peterborough (in January) was it the right thing to do?

"When you bear in mind the financial situation, yes it was. They were sold for 125,000 each, so you can't pay 1,000 and get the same sort of player.

"But what I can do is use my scouting network and contacts and get in players I feel will do us a job and that's what I've done."
