Still takes over from Hill |
Conference side Dagenham & Redbridge have named ex-Barnet boss John Still as their new manager. Still replaces Garry Hill, who quit the club earlier this month in search of "a new challenge".
He was in charge of the Daggers before when they were known as Leytonstone/Ilford and Redbridge Forest.
Still spent some time at Bristol Rovers as their assistant manager, until he was released in December as part of a cost-cutting exercise at the club.
He explained that part of the reason for him taking the Dagenham job was personal.
"My dad was a big supporter of the club, going back to when I played here and remained a supporter until he died last year," Still told BBC Essex.
"There were many reasons why I came here, but one of them is because he would've wanted me to take it and try to lead them into the League.
"I'm going to give it everything to try to do that."
