Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has agreed a new three-year deal to stay at Selhurst Park.

The 28-year-old Argentine, who joined Palace from Dundee, would have been out of contract at the end of the season.

Eagles boss Neil Warnock said: "I am delighted to have shaken hands on the deal and finally put that subject to bed. He has done well for me.

"I would not swap him for anyone in our division and he could not have done anything more that what he has done."

Meanwhile Palace defender Matt Lawrence will delay having hernia surgery until the end of the season.
