Crewe defender Matt Tootle expecting battle at Barnet
Tootle started for Crewe in the 7-0 home victory over Barnet in August
Crewe full-back Matt Tootle has warned his team-mates that they can expect a battle when they take on struggling Barnet at Underhill on Saturday.
The Bees are three points from safety in League Two but have collected four points from two matches since the return of Martin Allen as manager.
"He'll be motivating them and telling them to get right into us, as a lot of teams do," Tootle told BBC Radio Stoke.
"They'll be right up for it and they'll be fighting for their lives."
The Alex beat Barnet 7-0 at the Alexandra Stadium in the opening weeks of the season and hammered Cheltenham 8-1 in their last outing.
Crewe still have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs and Tootle believes both teams will be desperate to win the game.
"It could go in our favour because they might go for it," he continued. "If we can stay calm and play our football like we do, we can find gaps through them."
