Gradi has recently returned to the Crewe hotseat

Crewe Alexandra's caretaker manager Dario Gradi will break with tradition and bring his players into train on Christmas Day.

The Alex usually give the squad the day off ahead of playing on Boxing Day but illness and injuries are hampering their preparation.

Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "I need to make sure I know who is ready to play as we have a busy treatment room."

Crewe are aiming to make it three games without defeat against Oldham.
