Lunt has made more than 400 appearances for the Alex

Crewe Alexandra have re-signed Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Kenny Lunt on loan until 3 January.

The 29-year-old, who left Crewe to join Wednesday in 2006, becomes Dario Gradi's first signing since resuming control of the Alex first team.

Lunt also made 14 appearances for the South Cheshire side in a three-month loan spell last season.

He goes straight into the squad for Saturday's League One game at home to Stockport County.
