Maynard has scored 32 goals in 52 league starts for the Alex
Crewe Alexandra first-team coach Steve Holland says Nicky Maynard will only be allowed to leave the club if their valuation is met.
Holland told BBC Radio Stoke: "We have a valuation that, if met, we would then give Nicky the opportunity to move.
"Nicky has been kept in touch with all the offers that have been made and all the clubs that are involved."
Crewe have rejected offers from Ipswich and Bristol City for the 21-year-old who is valued at 2m.
"We didn't place a valuation on Nicky until we needed to because we don't want to sell him.
"He is still a young player and in my view he would benefit from another year at this level.
"At the moment we are expecting him to be with us at the start of the season but if the right deal comes along then we would be fair to Nicky and give him the opportunity to make his decision."
Meanwhile Holland is to decide on the future of two players currently on trial at the Alexandra Stadium.
Former Mansfield captain Jake Buxton will learn his fate before the end of the week whilst former Manchester United striker Eddie Johnson will be given more time to impress.
