Nicky Maynard says he is focused on scoring goals for Crewe despite rumours that he is a transfer target for several clubs.
The 21-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke: "I'm just concentrating on my own game, whatever happens, happens.
"The main thing is that the goals keep coming and the team keeps winning."
Maynard scored a hat-trick on his 50th league appearance for the club in the 3-1 win over Cheltenham and is thought to be a target for Middlesbrough.
It has been a difficult season for the Winsford-born striker, who suffered a broken leg on the opening day.
But a virtuoso performance against the Robins capped a record breaking run for Maynard, which has seen him become the first ever player to score in seven consecutive games for the Alex.
"I'm more confident than ever at the moment, after the injury I wasn't quite fit enough and the lack of goals got me down," he said.
"Now the goals are coming, I feel much better about myself and I think I'm becoming a much better player for it."
