Striker Luke Varney has signed a new two-year contract with Crewe which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2009. Varney joined the Gresty Road outfit in 2003 from non-league side Quorn FC and has established himself as a regular.
The 23-year-old has made 73 appearances for the Alex in the last three years.
Meanwhile Crewe striker Adam Warlow, 19, will spend a second month on loan with Unibond League Premier Division side Witton Albion.
