Crewe Alexandra defender Chris McCready
has decided to leave the club with immediate effect, after rejecting a two-year contract. McCready, 24, joined the Gresty Road club 14 years ago and has made 80 appearances for the Railwaymen.
"I have enjoyed my time at the club but now feel that I am ready for a fresh challenge," the 24-year-old told the club's official website.
"I thank everyone who has helped me and wish everyone at Crewe the very best."
