Assistant manager Neil Baker admits that Crewe's relegation from the Championship has hurt the pride of himself and boss Dario Gradi. The Alex were relegated from the same division in 2002, although they bounced straight back the following season.
However, Baker told BBC Radio Stoke: "We have pride and being relegated is a blow to us.
"We have set our own high standards and we will put the pressure on ourselves to do well next season."
Gradi pledged earlier in the week to carry on as boss - while chairman John Bowler has insisted that the pair are not under threat.
