Crewe striker Luke Varney hopes his winner against Millwall at Gresty Road is just the start to repaying the faith shown in him by the club. The 22-year-old striker told the club's website: "It's great to score here, at home, in front of the fans.
"When the chance came I just went for it and luckily for me it went in.
"I cannot thank the club enough, they gave me a three-year contract when they didn't know that much about me. Hopefully now I can pay them back."
