Efe Sodje's Crewe future has been thrown into doubt after he was left out of the squad that is in Portugal for pre-season training. The Nigerian international, who scored in the 6-0 win at Nantwich, has been told he is no longer part of manager Dario Gradi's plans.
And this latest setback seems certain to hasten the 30-year-old's departure from Gresty Road.
Meanwhile, triallist Justin Cochrane has travelled with the party and physio Matt Radcliffe has left Port Vale to take up a similar post at Crewe.
