Oxford striker Jon-Paul Pittman rejoins Crawley on loan
Pittman began his career as a trainee with Nottm Forest
Crawley Town have re-signed Oxford United striker Jon-Paul Pittman on a 93-day emergency loan deal.
The 24-year-old scored 22 league goals in an 18-month spell at the Broadfield before joining Wycombe in January 2009.
Reds boss Steve Evans told the club website: "As soon as we had the offer from Bournemouth for Wes Thomas I immediately thought of JP.
"He's lightning quick, can score a goal and knows exactly what we are about. This is a great signing for us."
Evans has not ruled out the possibility of making Pittman a permanent signing, and is still looking to add to his squad.
"Jon-Paul joins us initially on an emergency loan and subject to his performances in that period we may look at something more permanent in January," he continued.
''We are trying to do some further business given our dire injury situation but sometimes it is like trying to push water uphill.
"However, I will be doing my best to add to the squad, which we all accept is very limited."
