Defender Darragh Ryan leaves Crawley Town

Crawley Town

Left-back Darragh Ryan has left Crawley Town by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old defender joined the Blue Square Bet Premier side in the summer but found first team opportunities limited.

Crawley manager Steve Evans said: "The heavy investment in our squad has seen the arrival of Dean Howell and Kyle McFadzean, who can both play left-back.

"Darragh clearly wants to play and as fourth or fifth choice he felt he would not attain first-team football."

He added: "His thought process is understandable. Everyone at the Broadfield Stadium wishes Darragh all the best for the future."
