Crawley Town's owners have accepted a bid to buy the Conference club. Chas and Azwar Majeed have accepted an undisclosed offer from Britannia Sports Management to purchase 100% share of the company.
Interim Crawley chairman Susan Todman said: "We have received a bid which is acceptable to the board of the club.
"The aim of our board has always been to see the club progress and compete on a level playing field with all the teams in the Conference National."
She added; "We now look forward to Mr Pearson substantiating his offer."
Pearson, 24, is the managing director of London-based Britannia Sports Management, and reportedly hopes to complete the deal by the middle of next week.
Meanwhile, Crawley say that a CVA which was accepted by creditors at the end of August will still be honoured by SA Retail Limited, the company owned by the Majeeds.
Crawley were docked ten points at the start of the season for going into administration and despite wiping out that deficit remain bottom of the table.
