Coventry City and Atherstone Town both crashed out of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday night.

The Sky Blues Academy team lost 3-2 at home to their M69 rivals Leicester City in the third round.

Nathan Cameron and Shaun Jeffers scored the goals for a City side that featured defender Jordan Clarke, who is on the fringes of the first team.

The Adders lost 5-0 at Huddersfield Town in their re-arranged second round tie at the Galpharm Stadium.

Coventry's Academy boss Gregor Rioch bemoaned his team's luck.

He told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "You look at it and there are two or three deflected goals which have cost us.

"You can defend corners and you can defend free-kicks but we just need that rub of the green.

"The boys have done magnificently well and stood up against a very strong Leicester City side who have quite a settled side and week-in, week-out manage to play the same XI.

"I thought we did very well for the majority of the game."
