Coleman could get money to spend

Coleman's Coventry currently lie 10th in the Championship

Coventry chairman Ray Ranson has said that manager Chris Coleman could be given transfer funds in January if the Sky Blues are in the play-off shake up.

City currently lie 10th in the Championship, one point outside of the play-off places.

Ranson told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire: "I am sure we will have a real go.

"If we are in or around the play-off places in January then we will review the situation.

Coventry's good start to the season has come despite the summer departures of Scott Dann, Danny Fox, Robbie Simpson, Guillaume Beuzelin, Leon MacKenzie and Michael Doyle.

Coleman was only able to make three permanent signings in the transfer window, with Sammy Clingan, Michael McIndoe and Martin Cranie arriving at the Ricoh Arena.
