Kean set to leave Coventry staff

Steve Kean and Crhis Coleman
Kean and Coleman have worked together over a six-year period

Coventry City have confirmed assistant manager Steve Kean is set to leave the coaching staff at the Ricoh Arena.

Kean, who only has 12 months left to run on his contract, will be allowed to speak to other clubs during that time.

He followed manager Chris Coleman to the Sky Blues after serving as his number two at Fulham and Real Sociedad.

"It is totally amicable. Should opportunities arise for him he will be free to take them," Coleman told the club's website.

"And I'm sure that will happen sooner rather than later."
