Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle is not overly concerned that he has lost the captain's armband.

Doyle returned to action following a three-match suspension in the midweek draw with QPR - a match Stephen Hughes was made skipper for.

The Irishman told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "There are two ways you can react to something like that.

"You can either walk around like a baby or go out and get on with it and give a response. I felt I gave a response."

Doyle was made captain under former manager Iain Dowie but has played just the one match for current boss Chris Coleman.

Explaining his decision, Coleman added: "Stephen Hughes had the armband because I know him more.

"I know him better and that was the only reason."
