Iain Dowie hoping he will be on the same wavelength as Ray Ranson |
Coventry City manager Iain Dowie is waiting for his first meeting with the club's new owners to talk about potential new signings. Ray Ranson's SISU Capital group finally completed their drawn-out takeover of the club last Friday.
And Dowie revealed: "I am due to meet Ray later in the week and we will sit down and have a chat.
"It is important there is investment in the club but he comes from a football background and he will understand it."

After speculation about the club's future almost from the moment he took the job last February, Dowie is simply happy that the ownership issue has at last been resolved. "Better late than never," said Dowie. "And it is very important that we get a good relationship started from minute one.
"It is not about Iain Dowie or anyone else it is about Coventry City still being here as a going entity, so Ray deserves a lot of credit for that.
"If we are to bring in some players they've got to be better than what we've got and that will take some doing as we have got some good characters around the place.
"It will be done thoughtfully and the first people to know will be the players who are going to be targeted.
"We are not going to sing from the rooftops about how much money we have got to spend as I don't think that is the way to do business."
