| Coventry City manager Iain Dowie has loaned defender Stuart Giddings to Oldham Athletic. The 21-year-old full-back has struggled with injuries during the past two seasons but featured in the Sky Blues' pre-season programme. "Stuart needs games and it's a good opportunity for him to continue the progress he's made over the summer," Dowie told Coventry's website. "Hopefully he can come back to us ready to fight for his place in the side."
