Bunce has chosen Coventry ahead of Dundee United |
Coventry City have completed the signing of New Zealand international defender Che Bunce, who had also been on trial at Dundee United. United manager Craig Levein had fielded Bunce in a reserve game against Rangers on Tuesday - but said he could not match the terms Coventry were offering.
Bunce, 31, has signed a deal at Coventry until the end of the season.
"He has a mountain of experience and a real presence in defence," caretaker boss Adrian Heath told City's website.
Having missed out on Bunce, who was most recently with New Zealand Knights, Levein added: "They've offered him about three times what we could come up with.
"Someone recommended him to them and there is not much we could do about that."
