Adebola is Coventry's third new striker |
Coventry have continued their squad rebuilding by completing the free-transfer signing of Nigerian striker Dele Adebola. The 27-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Sky Blues after turning down the offer of a new deal with Division One rivals Crystal Palace.
Adebola is the third striker recruited by manager Gary McAllister this summer following the earlier arrivals of Andy Morrell and Graham Barrett. Adebola began his career with Crewe before a 1m move to Birmingham.
A loan spell at Oldham followed before a free-transfer move to Selhurst Park in August 2002.
Adebola scored seven goals in 28 appearances for the Eagles last term.
