Colchester United's promising youth team striker Freddie Ladapo has agreed to a spell at non-league Thurrock.
The teenager, who has scored close to a goal a game in the youth ranks this season, joins the Blue Square Bet South club on a work experience placement.
The south Essex side are currently in 17th place in the table and just two points from the relegation zone.
Ladapo scored two goals in Colchester United under-18's recent 5-1 demolition of Northampton Town.
