Colchester striker Kevin Lisbie is not looking for a move away from the club despite their relegation.

The 29-year-old former Charlton player scored 17 goals this season.

He told BBC Essex: "Obviously I want to play at the highest level possible but I am not going to start saying I want to leave.

"I've got two years left [on my deal] so if anything happens it is going to be between this club and another club. So we'll have to wait and see."

If I play games I think I'll score - I just needed to prove it

Lisbie, who joined the north Essex club at the beginning of the season, has enjoyed by far the best season of his career.

Lisbie is currently the fourth highest scorer in the Championship, despite their position at the foot of the table.

He said: "If I play games I think I'll score, I just needed to prove it. I could say it until I'm blue in the face, but I just needed to prove it and I think I'm doing that this season."
