Colchester United have handed a first professional contract to winger Medi Elito, reports BBC Essex. The 17-year-old is still awaiting his first-team debut, but has impressed at youth and reserve team level.
Elito played for England Under-17s in a four-team tournament last season, and was also on stand-by for the European Championships.
He follows Tom Webb, Tom Devaux and Anthony Wordsworth in signing professionally for the U's.
