Baldwin failed to make the breakthrough at Chelsea |
Colchester United central defender Pat Baldwin has signed a new contract. The 24-year-old, who has made 137 appearances, has agreed a two-year deal with the Championship club.
"Negotiations have been going on for a while now so it's nice to get it all sorted out. I've loved every minute of being here," he told BBC Essex.
"We've had so much success here and we can still achieve more. I'm settled in the area and am just looking forward to doing my best for Colchester."
Baldwin moved to Layer Road in 2002 after being released by Chelsea and has been a regular for the club in their debut season in the Championship.
He has followed captain Karl Duguid in committing his future to the Layer Road club.
