| A contractor has been appointed to build Colchester United's new football stadium, reports BBC Essex. Barr Ltd have been put in charge of building the 10,000 all-seater ground at Cuckoo Farm on the northern outskirts of Colchester. Councillor Brian Jarvis from Colchester Borough Council said: "This is a major step towards the Community Stadium. "There are still a few hurdles to overcome but Barr will start work once everything is in place."
