Colchester have signed Manchester United midfielder Ritchie Jones on a month's loan. The 20-year-old goes straight into the squad to face Sputhampton having played for United against Crewe in the Carling Cup on Wednesday.
Jones has made five senior appearances and helped the second string to the reserves title in 2005/2006.
"We've seen him number of times and he caught our attention," Us boss Geraint Williams told the club wesbite.
