Colchester United captain Karl Duguid has signed a new deal to extend his ten-year stay at Layer Road. The midfielder, 27, ended an 18-month absence with a knee injury in August and has since helped the U's to the top of League One and the FA Cup.
Boss Phil Parkinson said: "The board of directors and I felt it was important to give Karl some peace of mind after all that he has been through.
"With each game he has got stronger and he's been a vital part of our success."
